Recording Day
So I’m recording the songs I’ve written today which at current is only about two full songs but I’ve got a few more as working progresses.
The recording today won’t be the finished product because there’s still so much I want to do with the songs. So they’ll just be demos that I can listen to clearly instead of the lesser quality recording on my phone.
Beginning Song Writing!
So today is Day 1 of the song writing and although I’ve had experience songwriting this is the first time I’ve had to write songs to a deadline.
After my research I decided 7-8 songs will have to be written to achieve my album.
So let’s get started! 💪
So before I go head strong into working on my album I wanted to do a bit of research beforehand. For example:
– How many songs would be considered an album?
– How will I eventually name my album?
– Where could I hold a launch event for my album?
– Do I want to produce it myself or get it done for me?

For my major project, I am going to create an album of 7-8 songs written by myself. I have chosen to create an album because as an aspiring singer/songwriter I want to use this opportunity to further my career as a musician and develop my song writing skills.
To carry out my task I will research different song writing methods and techniques, both musically and lyrically. I will achieve this through secondary research, using previous composition knowledge, attending songwriting classes and obtaining advice from other musicians.
By creating a step by step plan I am hoping to come away with an album of a professional standard by the completion of my course in May.
